Are you ready for the NBN?
The National Broadband Network (NBN) is an Australia wide project to upgrade the existing fixed line phone and internet network infrastructure.
You can check whether the NBN is rolling out in your area using the rollout map on the NBN website.
Currently* some of the suburbs in South East Queensland where building is completed, underway, or in preparation on the NBN are New Beith, Redbank Plains, Goodna, Riverview, Ipswich, Carole Park, Collingwood Park, Bundamba, Dinmore, North Booval, Yamanto, Churchill, Woodend, West Ipswich, Parkinson, Stretton, Sunnybank Hills, Algester, Calamvale, Eagle Farm, Pinkenba, Ascot, Nudgee, Nundah, Northgate, Nudgee Beach, Taigum, Aspley, Fitzgibbon, Bridgeman Downs, Murrumba Downs and Petrie
You may not need to make any in-house cabling changes to use the NBN but if you have poor Wi-Fi throughout your house or you download large files you may need some additional cabling. Enever Electrical are Master Cablers and can assist you in getting the full benefit out of your NBN connection.
Information on what you need to do to prepare for the NBN in your home is available here.
